Field Trip Day in East London and Redhook, Brooklyn coming up in this month! We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting another series of local explorations around the world: Please join us for Field Trip Day 2013 from Field Trip and Niantic Labs at Google.

Field Trip an app from Niantic Labs at Google helps you discover new places and stories all around you, and Field Trip Days are afternoon long explorations, revealing the city’s secrets using smart phones, and your wits to discover the hidden stories that lie just under the surface and just out of sight in every neighborhood.

Grab your friends and come out to discover neighborhoods you thought you knew in London and Brooklyn on August 24th, Los Angeles and Seattle on September 15th. Registration is free, but space is limited - Ticket reservations are now available for London and Red Hook, Brooklyn:

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN - Saturday, August 24th, 2013

Join Field Trip to discover the tucked away neighborhood of Red Hook, where Washington fled the British and Al Capone got his start in hard crime. Follow the footsteps of Eleanor Roosevelt, float along on the last wooden railway barge, sample locally made wine, and discover what’s under Ikea’s vast parking lot.

Join Field Trip in East London as we explore everything the most diverse and vibrant corner of England’s capital has to offer, from its own Little Shop of Horrors and the canal backstreets boasting street art, performance and live music to local bakehouses, flower markets, and even a pig-toting farm slap-bang in the bustle of Hackney. From Shakespeare to Banksy, mighty heels continue to pound these roads; walk with us as we follow in their footsteps.
