Video Wonder: Baby Penguin Learns To Walk
Kate Winslet narrates this clip of an adorable penguin chick taking his first steps.
When Leonardo DiCaprio received a long-awaited Best Actor Oscar for getting brutally and convincingly mauled by a bear in The Revenant, his longtime friend and onscreen lover Kate Winslet wiped away tears of joy—even though she’s more into penguins.
It’s not hard to see why. The above clip from 2015, which is narrated by Winslet, shows an adorable baby penguin learning to take its first steps in the snow. It’s from Snow Chick: A Penguin’s Tale, which sadly was not nominated for an Academy Award.
(Alright, so, Snow Chick was a BBC television program, and therefore not eligible. But surely the winning penguin-Winslet combo warranted a relaxation of Academy rules.)
