For the past several weeks, we’ve been taking a virtual road trip across the United States, getting reacquainted with some of the strangest and most enchanting sights America has to offer. We’re nearly halfway through this project—50 States of Wonder, our guide to fascinating things from coast to coast and beyond. Many readers have journeyed with us as we visited things that rise high above North Dakota’s flat landscape, Oregon’s most spellbinding holes, truly trippy art in Kansas, and Connecticut’s pizza joint that serves clam-covered pies, to name just a few. Now, we’d love to hear from you: What makes your home state wonderfully weird and worth daydreaming about during these days when many of us are still sticking closer to home?

We’re inviting you to put together a list of six to eight can’t-miss spots in your state, whether we’ve covered it yet or not. We’d love it if these had a theme, as our guides have (like our ancient marvels in modern California, or places to encounter aliens and explosions in New Mexico), or your list could just be a compilation of your personal faves. Once you’ve created a free Atlas Obscura user account, any time you find a place you’d like to put on your list, click the bulleted “Add to List” button on the right, next to “Been Here” and “I Want to Visit.” Give your list a title, and you’re off and running. And if we’re missing a few the things that make your state special, feel free to add some. You can learn more about how to do that here.

Please email your completed list to jessica.hester@atlasobscura.com. Some of your responses may be featured in upcoming guides. We’ll be rolling out installments of 50 States of Wonder through the middle of November. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
