Cunégonde et Malabar
Artist's eccentric property excessively decorated with found objects and work of his own.
(Fantasy Worlds)
The home of conceptual artist Ben Vautier conspicuously stands out in the city of Nice, France with its intensely decorated exterior.
Discontent with the homogeneity of houses and their conventional decorations, Vautier used his home’s exterior as a medium of artistic expression. Shop signs, junk sculptures, found objects and Vautier’s own graffiti work permeates the outside of his not so humble abode. Peculiar objects from old toilets to large gnomes can be found throughout the entire property drawing the attention of passers-by, tourists and intrigued art enthusiasts.
