The Snowbird Peruvian Tunnel is a tunnel located at the Snowbird Mountain resort. It connects the Peruvian Gulch to the Mineral Basin area.
The tunnel first opened in 2005. This one-way, 600-foot magic carpet ferries guests of the ski resort to the Mineral Basin area by going straight through the mountain. Along with being an access point to the other side of the mountain, the tunnel is also filled with historical pictures and objects from the area’s diverse mining history.
Know Before You Go
The tunnel is open year-round, but winter visits do require a pass.
