Although I wander, I am not lost…and I am not without purpose.
I was based out of Southern California, but at this time, my husband and I are nomadic while trying to assess where to settle in the near future. With my husband’s ability to work remotely, we have the opportunity to travel as time, finances, and my physical state will permit.
After 7 years in disaster human rescue, I became involved in national and international disaster animal rescue for another 15 years. Volunteering with several animal welfare organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States, American Humane Association, and Best Friends Animal Society, we conducted animal rescues in disaster settings, animal cruelty investigations, cock fighting seizures, dog fighting seizures, and animal hoarding cases.
I worked for 10 years as the sole Animal Services Officer out of the city police department, but was disability retired early due to a life-changing work injury.
I am now eager to explore new places, landmarks, and cultures and hope to travel more as Covid-19 protocols permit. Perhaps we will cross paths in the near future, but until then, safe travels.
