Adrienne Surprenant
Adrienne Surprenant is a Canadian photojournalist. She pursues long term projects on social and environmental issues. She was based in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, for four years. She has covered stories in Central America, Central Africa and the Middle East, for Canadian and International medias.
In 2018, she documented the dengue virus around the world with a grant from the Wellcome Trust. Her report "Waiting for the Canal in Nicaragua" was exhibited at Visa Pour L'image 2015, and her work on Somaliland's drought was at Zoom Photo Festival in Canada. She is part of the 2017 "30 under 30 women photographers" of Photo Boite, and an IWMF fellow.
