I grew up in the Midwest, but am a West Coaster at heart. I'm a senior at the University of Oregon studying journalism and international studies passionate about traveling, particularily throughout the francophone world and Africa. I have reported stories and conducted field research in Ghana, Morocco and Europe. In summer 2015, I interned at Today Newspaper in Accra, Ghana, where I interviewed an up-and-coming DJ, and one of the few Ghanaian journalists covering LGBTQ issues. In Morocco, I profiled a modern visual artist and a controversial political cartoonist. I currently write for Bitch Media. At the University of Oregon, I am the managing editor for the multicultural magazine Ethos and edit Dressed Up Ducks, the university’s style blog. I enjoy playing guitar, perfecting my bubble tea recipe and practicing French while watching Brigitte Bardot films.
