Ian holds BA degrees in History and Italian Studies from Brown University and is an MFA candidate in the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Artsy, and Art & Object, among other publications. He is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota.
