I'm a Seattle-based historian and work as Densho's communications and public engagement director. I love bringing underrepresented parts of history to light and often write about how the past continues to trouble the present. My bylines include Jacobin, PRI's The World, The Abusable Past, and I authored the book, "La Raza Cosmética: Beauty, Identity, and Settler Colonialism in Postrevolutionary Mexico" (UA Press, 2020).
